FORT HALL — The 477 Human Services is open for business, according to Lori Pahvitse, director.
“We’re up and running. Business as usual,” she said despite the setback caused by flooding damage to the HRDC building, which occurred early morning, February 25. A total of 20 staff members were displaced.
They are now located on the north side of the old Fort Hall Casino building.
She said most of her department is finally equipped and already back online, with working telephones.
The library will be moved to the new site in the coming weeks in the new designated adult education area. The computer lab will also be set up and workforce training will start up again soon.
Pahvitse said they tried to keep things running as much as they could. They were able to get their March payments out on time. She said everyone has been really helpful in helping them as best as they can.
