FORT HALL — The Fort Hall Business Council advises there is no per capita distribution in June for Shoshone-Bannock tribal members.
The FHBC is responsible for the financial appropriations of all tribal revenues. The past year has been devastating to all tribal revenues because of the COVID-19 pandemic according to a Tribal Public Affairs press release.
On May 10 the U.S. Treasury announced $20 billion will be allocated to all tribes for coronavirus relief as part of the American Rescue Plan Act. It does not provide for lost revenue reimbursement but at this time the FHBC is uncertain how much the Tribes will receive.
In order for the Tribes to receive the funds, they are required to apply and then receive notice of the amount and date of distribution of the funds.
