BLACKFOOT — Prior to the Indian Relay Races on September 9 at the EISF, FHBC Chairman Devon Boyer, Councilman Lee Juan Tyler, and Vice Chairwoman Marlene Skunkcap made their art selections at the Native American Department.
Boyer chose a willow board with a willow shade, which was submitted by Jake Broncho. The willow maker(s) are family from the Shoshone-Paiute. Broncho won the Grand Champion ribbon along with $100 and a trophy.

Tyler chose a pair of men’s floral beaded buckskin gloves that were submitted by Tino Batt. Superintendent, Anna Bowers said he was the creator of the gloves. Batt won the Supreme Champion ribbon along with $50 and a trophy.
Skunkcap chose a large beaded floral coin purse that was submitted by Tino Batt. The creator of the coin purse was Tina Papse. Batt also won the Supreme Champion ribbon along with $50 and a trophy.
