FORT HALL — Leona Jim and some Tribal Court staff are conducting a raffle fundraiser to cover medical expenses for Jim’s grandson Steven Pokibro, who recently had a kidney transplant on December 5.
Jim is looking to be at her grandson’s side while he goes through rehabilitation and recovery. Pokibro is under his doctor’s care while in Salt Lake City, Utah, and his grandmother will be with him there for the next few weeks.
The raffle is December 21 at 8:30 a.m. at Tribal Courts. The tickets are on on sale through the day of the fundraiser at Tribal Courts. Donations are also accepted. Tickets are $1 each or six for $5.
Some of the items being raffled are beaded earrings, ID badges, small coin purse, pen, handmade quilts, Shoshone Bannock Tribes logo coffee mugs, $50 in cash, Pendleton cell phone holder, scarves, hats, and other miscellaneous items.
