Shoshone-Bannock Jr./Sr. High School ‘Honor Our Graduates’ Powwow

FORT HALL — The Sho-Ban Junior/Senior High School “Honor Our Graduates” Powwow was May 23 and 24 where Tyson Shay was the master of ceremonies, Kyle Nipwater was the arena director, and The Horses from Arizona was the host drum.

Royalty was selected Friday night where Seth Stacey was named Sho-Ban High Queen and is the first Two Spirit queen. First attendant Aiyana Eschief and second attendant is Kimora Graves Pevo. Sho-Ban Princess is Acacia Mendez and Brave is Devin Pebeahsy.

There were numerous specials throughout the duration of the powwow.

Powwow winners are as follows: Junior girl’s fancy: First Tia Worley, second Ariauna Pebeahsy, third Lilly Fred. Junior girls jingle: First Vivian Knight, second June Graves-Chavez, third Luella Farmer. Junior girls traditional: First Sophia Edmo, second Paisley Pokibro, third Naia Johnson. Junior boys fancy: First Demarcus Pebeahsy, second McCario Hameline, third Johnny Yazzie. Junior boys grass: First Taksha Marhay, second Conor Honena, third Darryl Yazzie. Junior boys traditional: First Lennox Raymus, second Tristan Brown, third Jaxon Mohawk.

Teen girls fancy: First Stephanie Brown, second Gabriella Appenay, third Rosie Medicine Horse. Teen girls jingle: First Ebonee Whiteman, second Kimora Graves Pevo, third Jasette Tindore. Teen girls traditional: first Susan Avila-Dixey, second Wappii Osborne, third Elianna Coby.

Adult Women’s fancy: First Rachell Scott, second Levi Other Medicine. Women’s Jingle: First Stormie Perdash, second Thalia Brunette, third Renessa Ridley. Women’s Traditional: First Tay’a Osborne, second Enneurietta Eoharse, third Chelsea Mohawk. Men’s fancy: first Kenny Brown Jr., second Logan Reeder. Men’s grass: first Zac Thunderchild-Pauler, second Kenny Brown, third Michael Eldridge. Men’s traditional: first Chasen Coby, second John Archuleta, third Adam Baker.

Other drums present include Spring Creek, Duck Valley and Chief Cliff.
