Sho-Ban Tribes General Election Friday, May 30

FORT HALL — The Shoshone-Bannock Tribes General Election is Friday, May 30 when registered tribal voters will vote for up to four Fort Hall Business Council members.

Primary Election winners Nathan Small, Louise S. Dixey, Russell Haskett, Felicia Dawn Hernandez and Elma Thompson go up against incumbents Ladd R. Edmo, Nancy Eschief Murillo and Lee Juan Tendoy.

Voting at the five Reservation Districts is Friday, May 30 from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Bannock Creek residents vote at the Waterwheel Property, 1223 Tank Farm Road. Other voting locations are the Lincoln Creek Community Center, Ross Fork Community Center, Eagle Lodge in Gibson and Buffalo Lodge in the Fort Hall District.

Also on the ballot is an advisory vote yes or no on whether the Shoshone-Bannock Tribes should assume contract or compacting management and operation of all the remaining Indian Health Service programs, functions and services.

Early voting began May 28 and continues May 29 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the Tribal Business Center.

Election returns are Friday evening at the Tribal Business Center.
