FORT HALL — The Shoshone-Bannock Casino Hotel (SBCH) has developed a system to help their guests remain safe and better informed during the pandemic while visiting the casino and hotel.

Andrea Todd who is the Market Developer said they established a Security Checkpoint in May which was created on the driveway into the property of the Shoshone-Bannock Casino Hotel to provide additional service to their guests. During this time the checkpoint was used to inform guests of the newly enacted property wide protocols, as recommended by the CDC Guidelines.

Also, to remain in accordance with the SBCH Safety Plan, the Checkpoint has served to notify guests they must wear a mask while on property and answer questions regarding hours of operation and current smoking policies. “All these questions can be answered before the guest even exits their vehicle,” said Todd.

Todd said, in mid-December a more permanent structure was erected, fully equipped with heat, air conditioning, lighting, and water for hydration for those Security Professionals on shift. Lighting will be adjusted seasonally to make certain Team Members are seen by guests driving onto the property.

The SBCH Security Department oversees the operations for the Checkpoint Station. Security Director Robert Moss said, “We ask that all who enter the property to honor the Team Member by stopping at the Checkpoint Station. We want to provide the best possible service for our guests and hope all who visit will be understanding and courteous.”
