POCATELLO — Shoshone-Bannock tribal members Shayna Martin and Johnny Littlejohn each had an entry in the motorcycle division at this year’s Chrome in the Dome Car and Bike show March 7 and 8 at the ICCU Dome.
Tribal members show goers also appeared to enjoy the show viewing the displayed cars and bikes.
It is Martin’s second year competing in the show — she entered her 2004 Soft Tale Harley. She explained she decided to reenter this year’s show, to try and repeat her win in the Custom Motorcycle division.
She found the bike in a garage sale find two years ago and built it into a show bike. She added more chrome and got a custom paint job on the bike. She designed the paint job to look like a hair braid effect. Her son beaded a pouch for the side and there is also a portion of her grandmother’s belt that was placed on the center of the bike.
Shayna plans to attend other local shows this year and enter her bike.

Littlejohn has taken part for 12 years competing in the chrome and has entered three different bikes throughout the years. The main bike he wanted to enter broke down, so he entered his older bike a 2002 Dyna Wide Glide Harley Davidson. He’s added various pieces to the bike and his wife also added a beaded piece to the center of the bike.
He placed second in the classic division, with the bike his wife calls the “Redhead.” He plans to continue to enter the show as long as he is able to.
The remaining of the year Johnny plans to compete in local shows around the area such as Blackfoot and Fort Hall to hang out and enjoy the shows.
Johnny doesn't have a favorite bike out of his collection, but said, “they are fun to ride.” He is trying to encourage his grandkids to get into the shows, “the grandkids enjoy sitting on the bikes and attending the shows.”
Johnny said “I would encourage the younger tribal members to try it out, represent in a good way. It is good to see everyone at the shows.”
