Sandbags available at TOEM office to Fort Hall residents in event of flooding

Location for available sand for sandbags to Fort Hall residents.

FORT HALL — The Shoshone-Bannock Tribes Emergency Operations Center was partially activated March 14 at the request of Incident Commander Anthony Pete Broncho because of flooding on the Fort Hall Indian reservation.

Reservation residents are asked to pick up sandbags at the Tribal Office of Emergency Management Office (TOEM). There is a limited amount overall on a first come, first serve basis. Sand for the sandbags is available across from the TERO office by the cellars.

Please view the map. The Directors of Transportation, Tribal Office of Emergency Management (TOEM), and the Fire Chief assessed the flooding situation at several homes in the Buffalo Lodge area.

Fort Hall Fire Department has some sandbags filled but has a limited amount. TOEM will do the best they can to assist you, if you have any questions or concerns please call the TOEM office at 208-237-0137.
