Shoshone-Bannock Casino Hotel gaming floor, restaurants closed

Sho-Ban Casino Hotel security officers stationed near the parking lot entrance to notify guests of the closure on Wednesday, March 25.

FORT HALL — Shoshone-Bannock Casino Hotel staff said the gaming floor, food outlets and hotel will remain closed until April 3.

The decision was made with careful consideration from local, regional, and national health organizations, Shoshone-Bannock Tribal Office of Emergency Management Operation Center, and the Fort Hall Business Council.

The gaming floor was closed on March 21 at 1 a.m.

During the closure, all parts of the property have been, or will be, thoroughly cleaned and sanitized.

“This result was not reached without studying the facts, weighing all options, and determining the best course forward for our community, guests and team members,” said Colista Eagle, Interim Chief Executive Officer for Gaming and Hotel Operations in a press release. “Very few things in life can prepare an organization for a decision of this magnitude. The implications are far more reaching than just within these walls. Our Bridal and Quinceanera Show, originally scheduled for March 28 has been cancelled. Vendors can contact Michelle at 208-238-4833 for more information.

The High Stakes Bingo Hall, will remain closed and all promotions have been cancelled until April 30.
