FORT HALL — The Shoshone-Bannock Tribes Primary Election is Friday, March 29, where registered tribal voters will vote for three or less candidates.
Candidates include: Ronald Todd Appenay; Devon Dwayne Boyer; Marina Fast Horse; Roland Lee Marshall; Angela J. Mendez; Merlin Steady; Yvette A. Towersap and Twila Ella Whitebear.
The top three vote getters advance to the May 31 General Election to go up against the three incumbents Gaylen Edmo, Donna Thompson and Claudia Washakie.
Early voting continues March 28 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Tribal Business Center. Otherwise registered tribal voters can vote March 29 in the five reservation districts from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Bannock Creek District voters cast ballots at the Water Wheel location 1223 Tank Farm Road, Pocatello. Other locations are the Ross Fork Community Center, Eagle Lodge in Gibson, Buffalo Lodge in Fort Hall and the Lincoln Creek Community Center.
Land Use Policy Commission petitions are available through March 31 at 4 p.m.
There are currently 1,226 registered tribal voters.
