FORT HALL — The Shoshone-Bannock Tribes and the Eastern Shoshone will remember tribal ancestors and the Fort Bridger Treaty on Friday, July 3 at Fort Hall and Fort Bridger, Wyo.
A sunrise prayer ceremony will be conducted at the Fort Bridger Historic Site July 3 hosted by the Eastern Shoshone Big Wind Singers who will also build a fire in the pit that was dedicated in 2018. A tribal elder will say a prayer.
At the same time, the Shoshone-Bannock Tribes will have a sunrise ceremony in Fort Hall at either the rodeo grounds or the Festival arbor July 3. A Fort Hall Business Council member or a tribal member will be asked to talk about the Treaty as well as prayers for Newene and the Fort Bridger Treaty.
