Fort Bridger Treaty signing honored

FORT BRIDGER, Wyo. — Fort Hall Business Council member Lee Juan Tyler, Nelson Fred, along with Job Eagle and Neil Thomas traveled to Fort Bridger, Wyo. July 3 to honor the signing of the Fort Bridger Treaty of 1868.

Tyler built the sacred fire at the site, they sang a morning sunrise song and a prayer song, along with one additional song.

Elaine Weed from Eastern Shoshone was also in attendance, along with Alexis Eagle and children.
