Traditional 49 songs were sung and then the veterans in audience were called up and honored by the Buffalo Lodge Committee. Vivian Wahtomy handed out plaques to each veteran that was present. Committee chair Alfred Wahtomy said the traditional 49 is a way to carry on the traditions back when his own uncle Leon Wahtomy and father Sam Wahtomy, both veterans, used to run the traditional 49’s which Alfred remembered when growing up.
