Young Spirit was the host drum of the Veterans Day Powwow on Saturday, November 12 at the Shoshone-Bannock Casino Hotel.
FORT HALL — The were a total of 192 registered dancers at the Veterans Day Powwow at the Chiefs Event Center at the Shoshone-Bannock Casino Hotel on Saturday, November 12.
Young Spirit served as host drum, Bart Powaukee was the emcee and arena directors were Seymour Eaglespeaker and Kyle Nipwater.
Saturday evening veterans were honored. Miss Shoshone-Bannock Kaycee Dixey presented them with a gift bag with sage/cedar, an American flag pin and bracelets that read “Veterans Lives Matter.” The casino gave a thermal mug, original artwork by Burdette Osborne and a veteran medal.
